Volunteer, Work & Learning Opportunities
The ReUse Program Warehouse welcomes volunteer assistance from students, retired faculty, alumni and eco-friendly neighbors! Feel free to contact the ReUse Program at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
"I used to think that to be environmentally conscious meant that you had to sacrifice other things…like money, quality of life, or convenience. But the warehouse showed me that we can have the best of both worlds."
The Reuse Program hires undergraduate students throughout the year. These are part-time positions (some work-study) perfect for a U of M undergrad interested in helping to implement new and developing strategies to creatively reduce, reuse, and recycle. You may find more information and apply online at https://www1.umn.edu/ohr/employment/.
The ReUse Warehouse is an active participant each semester in the Service Learning Program. For more information visit http://www.servicelearning.umn.edu/.
"I learned a very valuable lesson about recycling and protecting the environment by participating in this service-learning project. I learned that it doesn't have to hurt your wallet or raise tax dollars to help reduce the amount of waste that we produce."
"Throughout the semester I began to see that the University's ReUse Program really does help the environment through the means of reusing stuff that would otherwise be thrown away and end up in a landfill someplace."
"This program is good for everyone, and I am very glad that I became involved and am still a part of it. "
