FM Technical Services
Technical Services designs, installs, maintains, and repairs security related systems on the University of Minnesota campus. Systems include burglar alarms, the central card access system, closed circuit television surveillance systems (CCTV).
An inventory of parts and equipment is also maintained for a timely response to departmental needs. Expertise in transmission systems including microwave, fiber optics, and computer networking insures a cost-effective security solution with reliability as our first priority.

FM Security's technicians install closed-circuit television systems (CCTV); the video cameras seen across campus. As of December 2013 there were 2,600 cameras across the state. Additionally, we install most alarm systems and card readers on the U of M campus.
For security system malfunctions, FM Security's technicians are highly trained to troubleshoot and resolve camera, alarm, and card reader issues.
